Langfang is a prefecture-level city located in the central part of Hebei Province, between Beijing and Tianjin, and is also referred to as the pearl on the Beijing-Tianjin Corridor.

Langfang is a city of rich culture and has a long history, having been settled for more than 6000 years. Langfang is rich in natural resources – 98% of the city is located on a plain with fertile soil, and there are abundant reserves of oil, natural gas and bauxite underground there.
