Dr. Hu earned his Ph.D. from University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology, and received his postdoctoral training at University of British Columbia. He is a guest professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Cardiovascular Research Institute of Shanghai. Currently, he is Director of Shenzhen Stem Cell Engineering Technology Research and Development Center, Vice Chairman of Chinese Industry and Innovation Technology Strategic Alliance of Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine, Vice Chairman of China Institute of Strategy & Management (CISM), Member of Committee of International Advisers for the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund, Chairman of Shenzhen Beike Biotechnology Co., Ltd, as well as Founder and Honorary Chairman of Shenzhen World Health Foundation. He has several international and domestic patents in the clinical application of adult stem cells.
